Nieco Corporation Recognized by the Energy Solutions Center for Development of Innovative Energy-Saving Broiling Technology
Nieco is proud to be one of the recipients of this year’s Partnership Award for Innovative Energy Solutions presented by the Energy Solutions Center (ESC).
According to the ESC:
The Partnership Award is an honor reserved for those energy users that have worked with their energy utility system to implement an innovative, energy-efficient natural gas strategy or solution.
Nieco shares this year’s award with Carl’s Jr. Restaurants and Southern California Gas Company. Restaurants like Carl’s Jr. use our BroilVection™ technology ─ an innovative cooking concept that combines radiant broiling, natural convection and focused forced convection air to cook menu items using significantly less energy.
Here’s how BroilVection™ technology works:
BroilVection™ is an innovative, patented technology developed by Nieco. This proprietary process captures the excess heat within the broiler and redirects it with forced air back on to the product. It reduces energy usage and provides a quicker sear, which results in a juicier, more flavorful product.
For restaurants using BroilVection™ technology, this increase in efficiency may represent an annual savings of between $3,000 and $5,000 on their energy bill.
