Nieco Broilers With BroilVectionTM Technology Lead the Way in Energy Savings

Saved Operating Dollars Today Means Faster Payback Tomorrow

Energy savings is a significant issue in the food service industry. Nieco has met the challenge of lowering energy costs with our patented BroilVection™ technology, a new generation cooking concept that combines radiant broiling, natural convection and focused forced convection air.

Here’s how the BroilVection™ technology works:

As products are cooking, waste heat from the cooking chamber is captured and blown back down onto the food. This convective air maximizes the amount of heat applied to the food, allowing it to cook more quickly. Because our broilers make more efficient use of heat, a smaller burner size can be utilized. This means restaurants can now cook the same volume of product as quickly as before, using approximately half the amount of energy previously needed for traditional radiant-only broilers. In monetary terms, that means an annual energy cost savings of between $3,000 and $5,000.

Nieco’s President Korey Kohl explains:

In addition to saving on energy costs, restaurants using BroilVection™ technology may be eligible for local energy rebates of up to $4,000. Furthermore, our new burner technology is estimated to last 5 to 10 years—representing an annual savings of $800 – $1,000 each year on burner replacement costs.

Together, annual savings on energy costs, burner costs and potential rebates allow our customers to pay off the cost of their investment within two to three years of purchase.
